XIXth International Scientific and Practical Conference "Stochik Readings"

Due to the fact that the conference regulations do not provide for a discussion section, we offer you a more detailed acquaintance with our speakers at the meetings of the Discussion Club. You can ask the presenter questions in person and online. The first meeting of the club will take place in a round table format on December 20, 2021. It will be attended by:

Zuev Viktor Abramovich — DSc in Medicine, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Honorary Vice President of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Virology and Prion Diseases of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Chief Researcher of the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation;

Fedorov Vladimir Vasilievich — PhD in Medicine, epidemiologist, healthcare organizer;

Sherstneva Elena Vladimirovna — PhD in History, Leading Researcher in the Department of the History of Medicine, the National Research Institute of Public Health named after N.А. Semashko .

Tancred Stobe participated in the provision of medical and humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan and Malawi in 2020-2021, the COVID-19 treatment in different countries, the elimination of the consequences of floods and the cholera treatment in Pakistan in 2010; worked with refugees and victims of the military conflict in Syria and Iraq in 2012-2013, organized assistance to victims of the typhoon in the Philippines in 2013, led the intensive care unit at the Ebola treatment center in Sierra Leone in 2015 and the osteomyelitis treatment project in Palestine in 2018.

Zuev Viktor Abramovich from 1953 to 1954 worked as a bacteriologist at the SES on the construction of Stalingrad hydroelectric power station (Volzhsky village); from 1954 to 1960 - at Moscow Research Institute of Viral Preparations named after I.I. Mechnikov, since 1960 has been working at the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology. 1981 - Professor of Virology, 1997 - Head of the Department of Medical Microbiology and the Laboratory of Microbiology of Latent Infections, 2001 - Professor of Taishan Medical College (PRC), 2002 - Chief Researcher, Head of the Department of Medical Microbiology and the Laboratory of Microbiology of Latent Infections, Head of the Department of Medical Microbiology; D.I. Ivanovsky-prize winner. He was awarded the gold and silver medals of Peter the Great, the Kapitsa medal "To the author of scientific discoveries" and several medals of foreign academies, as well as the badge of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation "Excellent Worker of Public Health".

Fedorov Vladimir Vasilievich completed his residency in tropical diseases, worked at Moscow WHO Collaborating Center for Smallpox and Other Related Infections; 1970-1974 was an advisor to WHO on the Global Smallpox Eradication Program in Afghanistan. As part of the Soviet delegation, he took part in the sessions of the World Health Assembly and the Executive Committee, in particular, in the preparation of the Declaration on the Eradication of Smallpox in the World in 1980, as well as in the work of the WHO Regional Office for Europe and was awarded the gold medal of the government. He was an advisor at the permanent mission of the USSR to the UN and other organizations in Geneva. Later, he was involved in international technical cooperation in various structures of the state service of the Russian Federation.
